Help me pick out a name!

Hey everyone, in troupe we're picking out Irish names for ourselves for when we're dressed up in the settler costumes. I've got mine narrowed down to two, and I need help deciding!

• Muireann Ni Mhanacháin
pronounced roughly "Muirien nee Vonnachann."
If anglicized, it becomes Muireann O'Monaghan.

• Muireann Ni Mhaille
pronounced roughly "Muirien nee Valla"
Anglicized as Muireann O'Malley.

Although I really like the lilt on the first one, the second one just seems to fit me, I don't know why... I still can't decide though. Any opinions? Random thoughts?

Mmmm... this chicken salad I am eating right now is really good.

Hey, you said random thoughts... ;-D

Hmm, the anglicized version of the second one makes me think of Thomas O'Malley the alley cat from The Aristocats... and O'Malley is a really common name.

O'Monaghan is a bit less common, plus if you take off the "O'" you get the last name of the guy who played Merry in LotR (Dominic Monaghan), and LotR is cooler than The Aristocats, therefore, the second name is cooler than the first one.

So there you have it, my random thoughts.

As for my opinion, I really don't care, though I do like the first one better.

I like the 2nd one.. umm I'm not sure exactly why.. Probably because the first one will be too long for me to remember hehe..

Thanks everyone for the comments! I ended up just letting Hannah choose for me this morning, since we want the same last name. It's Muireann Ni Mhanacháin. If you want to know how it's really pronounced, since it's so impossible to write phonetically in English, ask me sometime. Though if you ever talk to us before/after a performance, I'll probably tell you anyway. :D

Rachel's the only one who can what?

But why was that a problem? Isn't Rachel the one who offered to speak the words in the first place, thereby being the one who Kitty Pryde was probably talking to?

Muireann Ni Mhaille, I would like to hear how that's pronounced. I bet it's pretty.

Check out my site! Yeah, I know, "Evil Xanga". I only got it so I could comment on a friend’s site. I may not keep it, I dunno.

WHOAH! I had no idea! That's weird! And... YES!!! I'M NOT BLINKING IN IT!!! WHOOHOO!!! Happiness... okay, lol, I'm done. It's just a once in year occurrence to be in a picture when I'm not blinking. Or it is now at least. I never used to blink for pictures up until this year, but now almost every picture I'm in... grr. :(

Of course, it wasn't until this year that I began the wonderful surprise pictures, and not until this year that Donald started bringing his camera to stuff, hehe.
